Ambulance Types: A, B, C & Mobile ICU
We build Type A, Type B, Type C and mobile-ICU ambulances — on your chassis, to your specification. Pick the care class below, then talk to us about the build.
Which class do you need?
| Class | Common name | Care level | Configuration (upfit-driven) | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Type A | 转运型 / Transfer | Basic life support; stable-patient transport | Basic medical upfit (chassis flexible) | Non-emergency interfacility transfer |
| Type B | 监护型 / Monitored | Advanced life support during transport | Monitored-care upfit (chassis flexible) | Inter-hospital transfer of critical-but-stable patients |
| Type C | 重症 ICU / Mobile ICU | Full ICU capability in transit | Full ICU upfit (chassis flexible) | Critical patients requiring ICU-level care on the move |
| Electric | — | Available across A / B / C | EV chassis (per order) | Depends on duty cycle, charging access and climate |
Type A / B / C classification is defined by the medical equipment configuration (the upfit / medical module), not the chassis. The chassis is selected per order; light vans such as JMC Ford Transit or IVECO Daily are commonly used and can support any class depending on the medical upfit. Exact class definitions vary by region (EU CEN, US Type I/II/III, China GB) — map to your local regulation when specifying.
Electric ambulances
Available across Type A, B and C. Whether electric fits depends on your duty cycle, charging access, climate and on-board medical load — we advise per environment rather than defaulting to one answer.

Fengqi integrates the medical module onto your chosen chassis, configured per order, with export documentation and destination-market certification. The right starting point is the care class above — then we take it from there.
